Wet N Wild Eyeshadows

Looking for some new shadows?? On a budget?  Concerned about quality? Well, I have the answer. WET N WILD! They have some of the BEST eyeshadow's on the market, not just the drugstore. I dont think I have encountered a bad one yet!  They are pigmented, creamy, soft, gorgeous!  and the best part is they wont break the bank!  The 8 pan palettes run about $5, the 3 pans are about $4, and the singles are $2. Here is my collection so far.

Comfort Zone, Blue Had Me at Hello, Petal Pusher, Sparkle til Morning, and Nude Awakening

Nude Awakening and Sparkle til Morning are limited editions and are no longer available in stores. The other three are part of the regular collection.

I Got Good Jeans, Cool as a Cucumber, Walking on Eggshells, Silent Treatment, and Brule
Silent Treatment and Walking on Eggshells are in my regular rotation and Brule, the single, is one of the most versatile of products. I have one that is open and well loved! It works as a base for the eyes, a highlight for the browbone, a shade to blend out the edges. Wonderful! And now for a few swatches!

I just chose some of my favorites from various of the palettes. These photo does not does it justice but you can see how pigmented they are. And these are not swatched over primer, just shadow to skin. In my experience they last really well, especially when a primer or based is used.

I highly recommend these shadows to anyone looking for something new. WNW is no longer what we they used to be. They upped there game and are a steal at the drugstore. These shadows are as good if not better than any high end shadow out there. You just cant beat it! Go try it for yourself!

IPSY JUNE 2013

Ipsy is something that I look forward to every month! And this month I think they were reading my mind! I am really excited about what this bags holds. I got it the other day and I wanted to test out the products first so I could give my first impressions as well! Here goes!

First, we need to take a moment to appreciate the bag itself. HELLLLLO GORGEOUS! I am in LOVE with this bag. and this months bag was well worth the $10 that it costs! Lets jump into the products!

Starting from the left:

  • Star Looks Lip Pencil in Tipsy. $12--I havent tried it on the lips yet but I swatched it and it is so pigmented and creamy. Tipsy is a beautiul corally pink color. Spot on for this summer!
  • Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter. $18--I have been wanting to try a highlighting pencil. I was actually on the hunt for one recently. I have only used it once so far. It does have any sparkle or sheen it is just meant to make that area look a little lighter. Im impressed so far!
  • J.Cats Beauty Sparkling cream Palette in Suzie. $4.49--I am not sure about this product. The product is not very creamy but straight up SPARKLE. I dont think I will get much use out of this but maybe for a fancy night look??
  • NYX Blush in Angel. $5.99--As you can see the corner of my blush is missing. I was testing it out yesterday and tapped the edge to get off additional product and it cracked. That being said this blush is super soft and creamy. And Angel is a great day to day blush! Super excited for this as I havent ever used a NYX blush!
  • PSSST Instant Dry Shampoo. $3?--Full size is about $6. I am loving dry shampoos lately. I did try this out and it worked pretty well. Def a competitor for my Batiste. This is a travel size so I am gonna save it for that! Space saver!
The total for the bag is about $44. WOW! so worth the money. I love getting a little present every month for such a good deal. If you haven't signed up yet you can do so here. Not only do you get a great deal on this products, IPSY offers a discount for each brand that is featured in this months bag. BONUS! So if you love the product, you can go get more. Check back next month for the JULY bag.

Quick Day to Day Look

For the last week, I have been obsessed with the same look. After watching a video by Jaclyn Hill, I was inspired to try it out myself! Now, I cant say that I did as good a job, BUT I think it looks good.

In Jaclyn's video she centered the eye look around Stila Kitten, an eye shadow that I dont own. So, in an effort to get the same look, I turned to my trusty Wet n Wild collection. I used the trio Walking on Eggshells to get the same sparkly, silver, nude eyeshadow. Dust some medium brown into the crease and use a dark brown shadow or liner to line the eyes! Add the mascara and your eye look is complete!

Other Products that I used:
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Concealer in Brightening and Neautralizer
MAC MSF Natural
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Candy Coral
Covergirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara
Loreal Million Lashes Fiber Extensions
MAC Pro Longwear Blush in Baby Dont Go (I used it for e/s though)
Espresso from the Lorac Pro Palette as liner
*All the products mentioned were purchased by me

EMPTIES!

Get ready for my trash! If you have been watching youtube videos like I have then you know that empties have been all the rage. I think that it is a great way to see a persons reaction after they have finished a product. Hauls are great but someone might not love a product in the end as they did in the beginning. So, in this post I am going to go through products I have most recently used up and let you know what I think!

First up are some hair products I have used up!
  • Batiste Dry Shampoo for dark or deep brown hair. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! I swear by this. I have cut back on washing my hair and this dry shampoo comes in handy on my in between days. It returns some volume back to my hair and doesnt make it feel like there is a lot of build up. and best of all, it has a brown tint to it so there is not any of the white cast that you can sometimes get with a regular dry shampoo. I will be repurchasing this for sure!
  • Biotera Ultra Color Care Conditioner. Meh, I can take it or leave it. I cant say that I was blown away. I didnt like that the product was so runny. I could barely get it from my hand to my hair without it running down my arm. I am currently using another bottle of it. I bought two when I purchased them. It gets the job done but its nothing to write home about.
  • Herbal Essence Honey, Im Strong Shampoo. I loved this shampoo. It has a pleasant smell and gets my hair clean. I cant say if my hair has gotten stronger. Maybe I have seen less breakage but that could be that is stopped using Keratin in my hair. who knows but I will be getting this when I run out of the shampoo I am currently using!
  • Loreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray. This product promised to get your hair shiny while protecting it from the heat. It was okay. I am testing out other heat protectants at the moment but its not a bad product. I would recommend it.

SAMPLES!!I needed to get some stuff used up! I have collected them from various things and i thought that I should test these out!
  • Dove Cool Moisture Body Wash and Lotion.  ehh, I got clean and was able to rehydrate my skin. I wasnt overly impressed but it worked. And I dont recall anything cooling about these.
  • Loreal EverSleek Shampoo and Deep Conditioner. BAAAAD! I had a terrible experience. This is supposed to moisturize and I felt all it did was dry out my hair. I dont know if it was the shampoo or the conditioner but my hair felt like straw afterward. Do not recommend the full size.
  • Clear Total Care Shampoo and Conditioner. This sample on the other hand was good. I have purchased full sizes of other shampoos and conditioners Clear has and I would definitely recommend them. I am currently using the volumizing shampoo and love it! Go get you some!

  •  Simple Face wipes in cleansing and oil balancing. I love Simple products. These are the wipes that I have been using for probably the last six months. I dont have any irritation and they get that layer of makeup off at the end of the day. Highly recommend this wipes. They are not expensive and can be purchased any were skin care products are sold. They have recently expanded there line of wipes to include the oil balancing, exfoliating, and ones specifically for eyes.
  • LA Fresh travel-lites. I got these is a Ipsy bag a few months ago. I have used them off and on when I was out of wipes or was on a weekend trip. The wipes themselves are smaller than the ones I am used to. I guess they worked okay but they aren't my holy grail and I am not trying to hunt them down.

  • Lip Balms. I have various lip products that I have decided to chunk. They have been in my collection for a while and I hadnt really used these in a long time. Recently, I have been obsessd with the EOS product so it was time to let these go
  • Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation. HOLY GRAIL! I stopped using this foundation after this jar ran out. I was experimenting with some new foundations and I was finding that something was just off. I didnt know if it was a change in lotions or setting sprays or what. So I decided that I need to go back to the last foundation that worked which is this. Light years of difference. I cant believe that I stopped using it. It lasts all day and provides a natural finish. PLEASE GO TRY IT!
  • Chella Eyebrow gel. This is also a product that I got in a Ipsy bag. I liked it I dont think that it was anything special but it got the job done. If it was more convienant for me to purchase, I would go for the full size.
  • Mirabella face primer. This is what is on top of the foundation. I also received this in an Ipsy bag. It was a really good primer when I first got it. I stopped using it for a while and when I went back to it I found that the product had seperated and became runny which it why I am chunking it. I tried to use it but it just wasnt the same. When I first got it, it provided a smooth canvas for my makeup and helped its staying power. Again, if it was more convientant to buy I would get another tube.
  • Loreal Infallible lip gloss. These are in the back. They have just gotten old. It was time to get rid of them. I dont have the specific colors. I should have wrote them down but from what i remember they were good glosses that didnt feel heavy or sticky on the lips. I dont remember them have great staying power though.
  • Lush Skin Drink. This was the first Lush product I have ever used. I got it from my sister when she decided that she didn't like it. I used it for a while but eventually it was just to heavy for my face. My skin leans to the oily side and the face cream is very heavy and would leave my skin feeling a little icky after a while. If you have dry skin, this would be a great night time moisturizer.

  • True Blue Spa All Angle Airbrush Tan. This hails from Bath and Body works. It was a pretty good self-tanner. It provided a very natural tan. I have found this to be true with other tanning products I have used from this line. Application is very easy and the tan does develop within a few hours. You do get the "self tanner smell" but overall it is not to bad. I havent repurchased because I have wanted to try other brands but if you are looking for somewhere to start, I would suggest this one!
  • Secret Outlast Deodorant. We all have to have it. This one works for me.

Okay, I hope you made it through all that! Those are the products I have used up and what I thought. I hope this has been helpful if you have been thinking of getting any of these products!

Catch ya later!
