New Years Eve: Edgy Glamour

New Years Eve: Edgy Glamour

New Years Eve: Edgy Glamour by chelseythale

If you are looking for an edgier look, you gotta choose bold peices. I think the idea of still keeping the quintessential NYE accessory: sequins! Grab a rose gold shirt and pair it with a simple black leather crop top (faux, of course!). Instead of the gold I normally prefer, get a silver cuff and a silver statement necklace. Get one without any jewels, just plain silver is best! You are going for bold but you don't want to be tacky.  Grab a sparkly silver clutch and some great black heels. Since it is a more edgy look, choose some with a little pizazz!

New Years Eve: Classic Glam

New Years Eve: Classic Glam

New Years Eve: Classic Glam by chelseythale

When I think of a classic look, you have to put some red in it! Start with a red lip! Find your LBD and add a statement necklace with simple jewels for the rest of the look. If you are attending a more upscale event, keep it simple with some patent leather pumps. Loud shoes would detract from the outfit and take away from the overall look. The outfit is about a simple statement with pops of red. To finish off the look, find a jeweled clutch in a vibrant red!

New Years Eve: Glam Casual

new years eve pants look

This is a way to dress up for New Years Eve while still being comfortable but still looking awesome! NYE is all about the glitz and the glam! Pair some simple comfy black pants with a statement shirt and necklace. It has that wow factor without being fussy! Grab some back pumps to add to the outfit. I like the gold toed as it rounds out the gold in the shirt and the necklace. Since there is so much gold going on else where in the outfit, choose a black clutch. The one above continues the glam look without taking away from the outfit as as whole.

December Favorites 2013

I'm back! I have decided to pick up the blog again! What better way to start back then to share my monthly favorites! These are a few products that have stood out this month!

NAKED 3: This has been anticipated for a while in the beauty world! And I know that not everyone has liked it but I LOVE IT! It is full of rosy and purple shades which make my brown eyes pop!

a few of my favorite shadows!

LORAC PRO:  If you are looking for a basic palette, this is it! This is full of all of the shades that you will need on a daily basis. You can create just about any look with it. I find myself reaching for it on the daily!

REVLON BRONZER IN CHIC AND BRONZED:  It is an all matte bronzer and is broken into four quadrants. I use this as a contour powder as well as something that warms up the face. It doesnt have too much orange and is not to warm for my skin tone!

BENEFIT BOX BLUSH IN ROCKATUER: Rockatuer is a subtle natural rosy colored blush. It has a bit of a rose gold sheen in it. I dont really like to wear it by itself. I like a more dramatic blush but what I like to do with it is to layer it for an extra oomph!

JORDANA FABULINER IN BROWN: I recently decided that I was going to master liquid eyeliner. I have tried before and it was always a hot freaking mess! Well, I took the advice of some of my favorite beauty gurus who are always raving about this liner. BAM! I have mastered a new skill. I particularly love the brown for days that I don't want an overly dramatic look!

JORDANA 12 HOUR MADE TO LAST LIQUID PENCIL IN BLACK POINT: The best and cheapest liner you are going to get. This eyeliner is great for the waterline and last for days! This stuff is not going to budge after it sets. And best of all it is less then $3

ANASTASIA BROW WIZ IN CARAMAL AND BRUNETTE: I have been a powder girl pretty much all year. Yet again, I was looking for something new and was influenced by my favorite beauty gurus! The brow wiz is a skinny pencil and creates a natural look. I use the lighter of the shades from the inner part of my brow and the darker shade on the tail. go get you some!

BUXOM LASH MASCARA: I got this as a sample when I ordered some stuff from Sephora about a month ago. It has a rubber brush with a lot of spiky bristles. It is great for creating volume and is good at separating the lashes. I like using it as a finishing coat to make sure there are no clumps!

CHANEL CHANCE: I got this with my Ulta rewards this last quarter. It is such a classic scent by a classic brand! The Chanel website describes it as an "unexpected floral". It just makes me feel special to wear it!

I am excited to start back with my blog! I have some good ideas that I am looking to share! Get ready 2014!

Wet N Wild Eyeshadows

Looking for some new shadows?? On a budget?  Concerned about quality? Well, I have the answer. WET N WILD! They have some of the BEST eyeshadow's on the market, not just the drugstore. I dont think I have encountered a bad one yet!  They are pigmented, creamy, soft, gorgeous!  and the best part is they wont break the bank!  The 8 pan palettes run about $5, the 3 pans are about $4, and the singles are $2. Here is my collection so far.

Comfort Zone, Blue Had Me at Hello, Petal Pusher, Sparkle til Morning, and Nude Awakening

Nude Awakening and Sparkle til Morning are limited editions and are no longer available in stores. The other three are part of the regular collection.

I Got Good Jeans, Cool as a Cucumber, Walking on Eggshells, Silent Treatment, and Brule
Silent Treatment and Walking on Eggshells are in my regular rotation and Brule, the single, is one of the most versatile of products. I have one that is open and well loved! It works as a base for the eyes, a highlight for the browbone, a shade to blend out the edges. Wonderful! And now for a few swatches!

I just chose some of my favorites from various of the palettes. These photo does not does it justice but you can see how pigmented they are. And these are not swatched over primer, just shadow to skin. In my experience they last really well, especially when a primer or based is used.

I highly recommend these shadows to anyone looking for something new. WNW is no longer what we they used to be. They upped there game and are a steal at the drugstore. These shadows are as good if not better than any high end shadow out there. You just cant beat it! Go try it for yourself!

IPSY JUNE 2013

Ipsy is something that I look forward to every month! And this month I think they were reading my mind! I am really excited about what this bags holds. I got it the other day and I wanted to test out the products first so I could give my first impressions as well! Here goes!

First, we need to take a moment to appreciate the bag itself. HELLLLLO GORGEOUS! I am in LOVE with this bag. and this months bag was well worth the $10 that it costs! Lets jump into the products!

Starting from the left:

  • Star Looks Lip Pencil in Tipsy. $12--I havent tried it on the lips yet but I swatched it and it is so pigmented and creamy. Tipsy is a beautiul corally pink color. Spot on for this summer!
  • Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter. $18--I have been wanting to try a highlighting pencil. I was actually on the hunt for one recently. I have only used it once so far. It does have any sparkle or sheen it is just meant to make that area look a little lighter. Im impressed so far!
  • J.Cats Beauty Sparkling cream Palette in Suzie. $4.49--I am not sure about this product. The product is not very creamy but straight up SPARKLE. I dont think I will get much use out of this but maybe for a fancy night look??
  • NYX Blush in Angel. $5.99--As you can see the corner of my blush is missing. I was testing it out yesterday and tapped the edge to get off additional product and it cracked. That being said this blush is super soft and creamy. And Angel is a great day to day blush! Super excited for this as I havent ever used a NYX blush!
  • PSSST Instant Dry Shampoo. $3?--Full size is about $6. I am loving dry shampoos lately. I did try this out and it worked pretty well. Def a competitor for my Batiste. This is a travel size so I am gonna save it for that! Space saver!
The total for the bag is about $44. WOW! so worth the money. I love getting a little present every month for such a good deal. If you haven't signed up yet you can do so here. Not only do you get a great deal on this products, IPSY offers a discount for each brand that is featured in this months bag. BONUS! So if you love the product, you can go get more. Check back next month for the JULY bag.

Quick Day to Day Look

For the last week, I have been obsessed with the same look. After watching a video by Jaclyn Hill, I was inspired to try it out myself! Now, I cant say that I did as good a job, BUT I think it looks good.

In Jaclyn's video she centered the eye look around Stila Kitten, an eye shadow that I dont own. So, in an effort to get the same look, I turned to my trusty Wet n Wild collection. I used the trio Walking on Eggshells to get the same sparkly, silver, nude eyeshadow. Dust some medium brown into the crease and use a dark brown shadow or liner to line the eyes! Add the mascara and your eye look is complete!

Other Products that I used:
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Concealer in Brightening and Neautralizer
MAC MSF Natural
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Candy Coral
Covergirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara
Loreal Million Lashes Fiber Extensions
MAC Pro Longwear Blush in Baby Dont Go (I used it for e/s though)
Espresso from the Lorac Pro Palette as liner
*All the products mentioned were purchased by me

EMPTIES!

Get ready for my trash! If you have been watching youtube videos like I have then you know that empties have been all the rage. I think that it is a great way to see a persons reaction after they have finished a product. Hauls are great but someone might not love a product in the end as they did in the beginning. So, in this post I am going to go through products I have most recently used up and let you know what I think!

First up are some hair products I have used up!
  • Batiste Dry Shampoo for dark or deep brown hair. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! I swear by this. I have cut back on washing my hair and this dry shampoo comes in handy on my in between days. It returns some volume back to my hair and doesnt make it feel like there is a lot of build up. and best of all, it has a brown tint to it so there is not any of the white cast that you can sometimes get with a regular dry shampoo. I will be repurchasing this for sure!
  • Biotera Ultra Color Care Conditioner. Meh, I can take it or leave it. I cant say that I was blown away. I didnt like that the product was so runny. I could barely get it from my hand to my hair without it running down my arm. I am currently using another bottle of it. I bought two when I purchased them. It gets the job done but its nothing to write home about.
  • Herbal Essence Honey, Im Strong Shampoo. I loved this shampoo. It has a pleasant smell and gets my hair clean. I cant say if my hair has gotten stronger. Maybe I have seen less breakage but that could be that is stopped using Keratin in my hair. who knows but I will be getting this when I run out of the shampoo I am currently using!
  • Loreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray. This product promised to get your hair shiny while protecting it from the heat. It was okay. I am testing out other heat protectants at the moment but its not a bad product. I would recommend it.

SAMPLES!!I needed to get some stuff used up! I have collected them from various things and i thought that I should test these out!
  • Dove Cool Moisture Body Wash and Lotion.  ehh, I got clean and was able to rehydrate my skin. I wasnt overly impressed but it worked. And I dont recall anything cooling about these.
  • Loreal EverSleek Shampoo and Deep Conditioner. BAAAAD! I had a terrible experience. This is supposed to moisturize and I felt all it did was dry out my hair. I dont know if it was the shampoo or the conditioner but my hair felt like straw afterward. Do not recommend the full size.
  • Clear Total Care Shampoo and Conditioner. This sample on the other hand was good. I have purchased full sizes of other shampoos and conditioners Clear has and I would definitely recommend them. I am currently using the volumizing shampoo and love it! Go get you some!

  •  Simple Face wipes in cleansing and oil balancing. I love Simple products. These are the wipes that I have been using for probably the last six months. I dont have any irritation and they get that layer of makeup off at the end of the day. Highly recommend this wipes. They are not expensive and can be purchased any were skin care products are sold. They have recently expanded there line of wipes to include the oil balancing, exfoliating, and ones specifically for eyes.
  • LA Fresh travel-lites. I got these is a Ipsy bag a few months ago. I have used them off and on when I was out of wipes or was on a weekend trip. The wipes themselves are smaller than the ones I am used to. I guess they worked okay but they aren't my holy grail and I am not trying to hunt them down.

  • Lip Balms. I have various lip products that I have decided to chunk. They have been in my collection for a while and I hadnt really used these in a long time. Recently, I have been obsessd with the EOS product so it was time to let these go
  • Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation. HOLY GRAIL! I stopped using this foundation after this jar ran out. I was experimenting with some new foundations and I was finding that something was just off. I didnt know if it was a change in lotions or setting sprays or what. So I decided that I need to go back to the last foundation that worked which is this. Light years of difference. I cant believe that I stopped using it. It lasts all day and provides a natural finish. PLEASE GO TRY IT!
  • Chella Eyebrow gel. This is also a product that I got in a Ipsy bag. I liked it I dont think that it was anything special but it got the job done. If it was more convienant for me to purchase, I would go for the full size.
  • Mirabella face primer. This is what is on top of the foundation. I also received this in an Ipsy bag. It was a really good primer when I first got it. I stopped using it for a while and when I went back to it I found that the product had seperated and became runny which it why I am chunking it. I tried to use it but it just wasnt the same. When I first got it, it provided a smooth canvas for my makeup and helped its staying power. Again, if it was more convientant to buy I would get another tube.
  • Loreal Infallible lip gloss. These are in the back. They have just gotten old. It was time to get rid of them. I dont have the specific colors. I should have wrote them down but from what i remember they were good glosses that didnt feel heavy or sticky on the lips. I dont remember them have great staying power though.
  • Lush Skin Drink. This was the first Lush product I have ever used. I got it from my sister when she decided that she didn't like it. I used it for a while but eventually it was just to heavy for my face. My skin leans to the oily side and the face cream is very heavy and would leave my skin feeling a little icky after a while. If you have dry skin, this would be a great night time moisturizer.

  • True Blue Spa All Angle Airbrush Tan. This hails from Bath and Body works. It was a pretty good self-tanner. It provided a very natural tan. I have found this to be true with other tanning products I have used from this line. Application is very easy and the tan does develop within a few hours. You do get the "self tanner smell" but overall it is not to bad. I havent repurchased because I have wanted to try other brands but if you are looking for somewhere to start, I would suggest this one!
  • Secret Outlast Deodorant. We all have to have it. This one works for me.

Okay, I hope you made it through all that! Those are the products I have used up and what I thought. I hope this has been helpful if you have been thinking of getting any of these products!

Catch ya later!

First Impression: Kenra Blow Dry Spray

I finally got my Ulta rewards certificate for the first quarter of the year. Some how I missed getting the magazine that had it but Ulta kindly sent it to me again. This quarter I was a level 5. After consulting what was an approved purchase, I headed out to Ulta to get my prize. I had my eyes set on the Kenra blow dry spray. I have heard a lot of positive reviews about it in the beauty community, so I went for it.

Retails for $22 at Ulta

Now, the main thing that drew me in was the claim to dry my hair faster. After reading further, it also offers frizz control and heat protection. A plus in my book!

So I had hoped in the shower before heading to the store and decided to dry my hair as soon as I got home. As directed, I sprayed my whole head and broke out the dryer. Now, my hair had sometime to air dry but I do that on a regular basis. The more dry the hair, the less time it spends under the heat.

After spraying my head down, I combed it out and went about the normal routine! I think I was able to get my whole head dry in about 5 minutes. Pretty impressive! I have a lot of hair and its pretty long these days so it was quite a feat!

After one use, I would say that it was worth it. I think this will become a major part of my routine.  It did seem to make my hair dry faster and it seems to smooth it out! Yay for rewards and new products! :)

My top beauty vloggers

It is no secret that I have an obsession with beauty. It started many years ago but was ignited by my frequent viewing of YouTube videos. Everyday I have to come home and watch the new videos posted on my subscription list. Today I want to share some of my favorites and the ones that I watch most often.

First up, LeighAnnSays

LeighAnn is the first Youtuber that I started watching. I was looking for a way to ombre my hair at home and found her video. I have watched every video since! Not only is she good at makeup, she is really funny and doesn't take her self too seriously!

Dos, Jaclyn Hill

She is a former MAC make-up artist that has gone freelance. She is awesome at makeup and does great tutorials. I have learned many techniques from her, most recently, how to do perfect winged liner!

Next up, Nicole Guerriero

Helllo! She is gorg! She is also someone who has great tutorials and makes beauty look some effortless!

Forth, Beauty Broadcast

Emily is a former News Host and it shines through! I look to her for great product reviews and expert advice on new stuff!

Next up, MakeupByTiffanyD

Gotta support a local girl! Tiffany hails from the good ol ATL! She is a makeup artist by accident and really shows what you can do when you are passionate about something. She has turned youtube from a hobby to a career!  I have bought many things from her recommendations.

Youtuber 6, Msgoldgirl

Not only does Marnie talk about her obsession why makeup, she keeps it real and shares things that really matter, most recently her battle with Hypothyroidism.

Last vlogger I want to share today is Bunny

Welcome to the swamp! I love bunny because she doesn't car what others think and sets her own style. and I am highly jealous of her thrift hauls!

of course there are others that I watch but these above are probably my most watched!  Please go check them out!

MAKE UP FOR EVER Lavendar 9 Powder Blush

Okay, this is probably the most outrageous product that I own! The other week I was sitting in my living room thinking, "I wonder if they make purple blush". Now, I knew they had the darker more berry color blushes but I wanted PURPLE!! So I searched everywhere to find one. I look at pretty much every store I had access to here in town and nothing. So, I turned to the web. I started on Ulta but I didn't find anything. Then, I checked Sephora. I haven't ever ordered anything from there but I knew that they have  lot of different kinds of products. If you have never been to a store or checked out their website, they carry higher end brands of makeup. So as I was searching around, I landed on Make Up For Ever Lavender 9. It is a little scary in the pan so brace yourself.

WOAH! Now, that is a purple blush!!! I did do some research and looked at swatches before I bought it. and while it is crazy looking here, it is really not that bad on the face.

Here it is the first time that I wore it. It definitely leans purple but it does look a little more pink on the face than in the pan.

Because this is such a pigmented blush, you have to have a light hand when applying it. Less is more! I haven't had the chance to try it with a lot of different looks. Here I chose to keep the rest of the face pretty simple. I don't think I even wore anything on my eyes, just some mascara. I think that it could be worn with a slightly more dramatic eye if done with neutral colors. Because of bright color, I wouldn't wear any major colors on the rest of the face. A neutral eye and lip so that the blush pops!

As I have mentioned, it have great pigmentation and the color itself lasts on the face all day. It's not an everyday color but I think it is great for changing up the routine when things get a little boring.

The blush costs $21 and can be purchased here. It is a lot for a blush but I think it is worth it. and for those of you who are not into such a special color, they do come in other shades that would work great for everyday use and will last forever!

May Julep Maven Box

Its that time again! My Julep Maven box came in! This is by far one of my favorite in a long while. I was seriously thinking about canceling my subscription because I wasn't really getting anything I cared for, BUT this month stepped it up.

First up, an overview of the box.

This month I got a trio of lipsticks, a lip scrub, a mascara, and some cute little hair pins!  They also like to through in some extras. I had no idea about the pins. I cant wait to use them :)

The mascara is officially called American Beauty Volumizing Mascara. There was a box that I did skip sometime last year that had this in it. So, now that I have a second chance, Ill have to try it out. I really look full, long lashes. Cross your fingers this one is good!

Next up, lip scrub! It is like there were reading my mind. I have been on the hunt for a a lip scrub for a while. I do have one that I made at home but you can never have enough.Especially with the bright lip trend that's going on. The hot color is bringing attention to the lips and scaly is not cute. I did test a bit out on my hand. Its a little sticky but it gritty without being too coarse. I foresee it doing a good job. and did I mention it comes in the cutest container?!?!

I don't know if I will repurchase but, I will def being reusing this container!! GORG!!!

Lastly, there is the lip trio. The lipsticks come in a pretty gold tube. The packaging is pretty but the lipsticks themselves are very small. I would say at least half the size of a normal lipstick...maybe even smaller. Here are some swatches.

As you can see, tea for two is barely there. It looks pretty in the tube but has no color pay off. Satin doll is a coraly orange color. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Ill have to try it on to see. Last but not least, lady in red. It has the most color payoff and is a classic red. It will probably be the most useful of them off.

And that's it! If you haven't heard of Julep, it is a monthly subscription service. When I first got my subscription it was more nail polished based subscription but recently they have started including other beauty related products. I cant say I don't like it! If you have questions, just ask!

First Impression: Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation

I have been needing to get a new foundation for a while. The foundation I was using just was working but I didnt know what to buy. That is when I got a coupon for a free bottle of Covergirl 3-in-1 Foundation. I had heard some buzz about it but wasnt overly confidant. The last time I used anything Covergirl was probably back in high school. But, IT WAS FREE. WHO DOESNT LOVE FREE??? So, I went to the store last night and picked it up.

I have only worn it once but I think it wore great. I have combo to oily skin so if my face is not shiny by noon, its been a good day. Well, shockingly, when I got in my car at 5:15 today to leave work, My face barely had any shine to it. There was a little but it looked more glowy than oily. It looked natural all day and didnt fade or oxidize on my skin. Two Thumbs UP!

I want to throughly review the foundation after I am able to wear it for a while and give my full impression but so far so good!

If you are interested in trying it, you can get them at any drugstore or somewhere like Walmart or Target and price ranges from about $9-13. Check back later for my full review!

MINI HAUL!

So, I did some shopping. Just wanted to get on and share the few things that I picked up this weekend. I seriously cant wait to start using everything! On with the haul!

Starting from the left:

  1. MAC Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Triple Impact. My heart is palpatating at how beautiful it is. It is a pretty sheer wash of color but its gorgous! Its a whiteish color that reflects purple!
  2. Lorac Glogetter Palette.  I spotted this beauty on the Ulta website and I knew I had to have it. It contains 8 Matte Vibrant shadows and 2 highlighting shades. It is going to create some great summer time looks. EEEEKKKK!
  3. MAC Lipglass in Silly. This is from thier new collection. It is a hot pink lipgloss that creates a BANG on the lips. yeah buddy!
  4. Maybelline Color Tattoos in Cool Crush and Seashore Forests. I have many of these cream shadows by maybelline but nothing like this! These beauties are duochrome. They are both in the blue family. Cool Crush is a lighter color that has a more silvery reflection while Seashore Forests is a darker blue that reflects gold. B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L
  5. ELF Metallic Neon Trio. From the pictures you can only see the orange one but, there is also a hot pink and a bright blue. These are spot on for spring and summer!
  6. Simple Oil Balancing face wipes. I love Simple products. I have pretty sensitive skin and these low maintaince wipes help to reduce irritation. I havent ever used this type but hopefully they will help control the shine!
Everything but ELF and MAC came from ULTA. They had thier Friends and Family Sale this weekend which meant 20% off! I had to take advantage! ENJOY!

Ipsy April Glam Bag

Subscription service are abundant on the market these days. I have only taken part in Ipsy and Julep so I cant say that I have a full range of experience. BUT I do watch a lot of YouTube videos and reviews of various boxes like Birchbox, beauty box 5, Glossy Box, etc, etc. And I have to say, Ipsy is the best. You often get full size products or deluxe samples. No skimpy foil packets here. And the best part, ITS ONLY TEN DOLLARS!!!!!

This months theme was Pretty In Pink! Here is an overview of the bag.
Overview of Bag

Did I mention you get a sweet bag every month! On to the close ups!

Big Sexy Hair Powder Play

I have actually used this product before. It is a powder that you rub between your fingers and rub it in the roots of your hair. It adds a little volume to flat hair. I am not exactly sure how much this costs but I know I bought the other one I have for about $3.50 and it was on sale.

Sation Nail Polish in Love at First Byte

Next up, a full size nail polish! I have a lot of polish but I have never used this brand. The color is not showing up true, it is more of a light baby pink. I have heard good things about the brand so i cant wait to try it! The price I looked up varies but it sells from somewhere around $5-7.

Be a Bombshell Blush in Sweet Cheeks

I have received a couple of other products from this brand in other Ipsy bags and so far I have been impressed. It is a bright pink with a nice sheen to it. From the swatch Ill put up in a moment, the blush has quite a bit of pigmentation but looks like it can blend out for a more subtle effect. This blush sells for $16 on the company website.

Mica Beauty Cosmestics eyeshadow in Earth
Mica is also another brand that is featured often in Ipsy bags. My gel eyeliner I am currently using is from that company. The color is a light pink with lots of shimmer! It will be great for an extra touch to some special looks! The full size retails for about $15 on the company website. From what I can tell, this is a bit smaller than the full size but it is an ample sample of the product!

Mica eyeshadow on the Left and Be a Bombshell on the Right

I am excited to start using this products. Probably most excited about the blush!

If you are interested in trying a subscription service, I highly recommend Ipsy. You get a great deal for the money. And who doesn't love a surprise every month!?! Check out www.Ipsy.com for more information!

First Impression: Physician's Formula Fake Out Mascara

First Impression: LOVE IT! I am very picky about my mascaras. I want length and volume and I dont want to compromise! Well, I am always up for trying new things and after Bunny recommended it, I decided to give it a go.

It has a pretty big brush. It is one of the those plastic ones, which I am usually not a fan, BUT this one provides great volume! Fake Out also contains natural fibers so it makes  the lashed loook a little longer with irritating the eyes!

I have been using for a couple of days now and I really like to combine it with my L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black.

The mascara cost about $10 from the drugstore, but there are always coupons or dealsout there.

If you are looking for something new to try, definately check this one out!

Please Subcribe! :)

NOTD: Gold and Nude

Just wanted to pop on quickly. I hae been a little behind on posts but I have a new mani to share tonight. We all know that french tips can be hard to acheive at home. So, I decided to switch up the traditionals style to create something a little more modern with the same feel!

I wish that the pictures would have turned out better! Sorry about that! But instead of just going straight across I decided to do it at an angle where it created a "V" shape at the tip of the nail.

To create this look I used a a pinky nude by ELF. It came in a three pack and I am not sure it has a name :/ For the tips I used Gold Coin by Revlon. One of my favorite polishes in my vast collection!

I am really in love with the look and it is really simple to do!

Next up, I plan on doing a first impression of my new favorite mascara! Keep your eyes peeled and as alwasy, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE! :)

April Julep Maven

I am a lover of the monthly subscription. One of them that I get every month is the Maven Box. It is by a company called Julep. It started out as mainly nail polish but has morphed into various beauty products as well. There are several styles to choose from. This month I got the modern beauty box.

This months box featured dry shampoo and cuticle serum.I am excited to try the dry shampoo. I use dry shampoo several times a week and im always up for something new!

and lets be real, a girl always need something for the cuticles. There is nothing worse than painting your nails pefectly and having ragety cuticles. I have used the serum a couple of times and it seems to be legit! We'll see.

Lastly, they threw in some rock candy! There is always a little something special!

Until next time, PLEASE SUBSRIBE :)

NOTD: Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny!

Sparkles are a girls best friend! There is nothing better than a beautiful glittery nail. I think that it is great for cheering up the phalanges, especially when its raining. The weatherman called for rain for the next three days! Outragous! But I added a little shine to my nails and hopefully, this gross weather wont be to bad. ;)

For this look I used I am not lion and glistening snow. Both by China Glaze. They are holographic, glitttery goodness. BEHOLD!
